OGSA-WebDB/Application
Top / OGSA-WebDB / ApplicationGrid Search for Cancer Prevention Project †
- It is a joint project among National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Division of Clinical and BioInformatic Engineering (CBIE), and Business Search Technologies Corporation (BST).
- The system accesses and integrates data from four Web databases: JSNPs ( http://snp.ims.u-tokyo.ac.jp/ ), OMIM ( http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/omim/ ), Pubmed (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/bv.fcgi ) and PharmGKB ( http://http://www.pharmgkb.org/ ).
- For details, see: http://www.ggf.org/GGF17/materials/276/BST-WebDB_0512-final.ppt
- Demonstration server for this application is here
Structural Systems Biology †

- Provides uniform access from OGSA-based computing grid to existing bioinformatics databases.
- SQL-based Ad-hoc processing to integrate different web databases.
SQL based Ad-hoc Processing †
- Important genes should interact with other genes
- Important genes should have SNPs related to serious diseases
- Important proteins should interact with other proteins
&imgr(): File not found: "../dbgrid/ogsa-webdb/image03.jpg;
This processing enables to find out biologically important protein structures.
